Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) type-B 240V 40A or 63A for single phase electric vehicle charging stations and wallbox, with protection current 30mA AC and 6mA DC.
Compliant with IEC/EN61008-1 and IEC/EN62423 (CE, RoHS).
It can be used to build a home-made electric vehicle charging (charging station, wallbox), using
* this RCD - RCCB as protection
* 40A 2P contactor (available in this website)
* Creasol DomBusEVSE as a electric vehicle supply equipment (used to control the charging power/current) (available in this website)
* one type-2 or type-1 cable and a small box
* one energy meter (bidirectional type, if using photovoltaic or other renewable sources) to measure the available power for EV charging (available in this website)
* optionally one energy meter DDS-238 to count the energy filled in the vehicle battery (available in this website)
* one DIN-rail box, better if placed indoor
Using Creasol DomBusEVSE DIN-rail module it's possible to realize a full-features electric charging station with the following features:
* wallbox can be monitored and controlled by smartphone and web browser
* full integration with Domoticz home automation system
* smart load balancing
* if your vehicle is compatible with Domoticz, it's possible to manage EV charging using full power up to a specified battery level (maybe 40%) and using only renewable energy (photovoltaic, wind, ...) up to another specified level (maybe 75% or 80%)
* use the full power offered by your supplier: for example in Italy it's possible to use the contractual power + 27% for max 90 minutes, then power must be reduced to contractual power + 10% for at least 90 minutes, then can return to contractual power + 27% and so on...
